We went to the tiger safari as a treat, and had a great time. Both my cousins and I agree that we would spend the money again in a heart beat. It isn't every day that you get to have actual encounters with lemurs, snakes, prairie dogs, kangaroos, foxes and others. Madison who took the time to being out all of the animals was super nice and full of knowledge. The owner, Madison and another gentleman all greeted us with warm welcomes. Animals were well taken care of and where active. The lions were lounging, but if you know anything about lions that is what they do. We got to take a picture with a ten month old Siberian tiger. How awesome is that? The baby kangaroo was so adorable and loves to give kisses. We are hoping to go back next year. The only downside for us was that we didn't get to hold more animals or touch a tiger. The animals are so adorable you just want to hold them all, even if you know it isn't possible. I would like to thank Tiger Safari for their friendliness and knowledge; and for the over all experience. We will be going back next time we come to Oklahoma.
the owner is a con artist who is under investigation for animal abuse! Went there for a birthday party today and felt sorry for the mother hosting the party. The health department should make a surprise visit! That place is joke and ran down. The owner Bill was should've treated my friend better but of course he was in New York supposedly! Don't take your family here, please!!!!
Terrible customer service and don't explain the rules, or why they will charge you extra money and make up reason to justify it. If only they used that extra money to better treat some of those poor animals.maybe they could then get two stars from me. This was a major let down forsure. I hope PETA catches onto these rude and cruel monsters.
Went there today for a 6 year old's birthday party, the party had been booked at least a couple weeks in advance, the "party room" was filthy, floors dirty with dust, leaves, and other trash. Tables in the area where the food was to be served were dirty, dust, spills, glitter all over them, the entry room where the baby animals were to be brought for the children to pet looked like a storage room with tables and and junk stacked around in various places. It was cold in there, there was heat but not turned on and light bulbs burned out in the room where we were to eat. When my friend first mentioned it the young lady who had come to let us in said "we're shot-handed and we had a party in here yesterday". Well, it must have been a party with the animals because after my friend pushed them to get someone there to sweep, and wipe the tables and counter tops, when our party was over the room looked cleaner than it did when we got there. They charge $300 to have a party there, they only knocked off $35 of the price! Oh yeah, and getting to the building was horrible because of huge holes in the drive and walking paths and the "Sheila's bathroom" smelled like one of the animal cages! I would NOT recommend this place for a party! Had to add more after reading other reviews, from the five star reviews to those of us who had to give a star to write a review it's like we're talking about two different places with two entirely different sets of people running the place. I'm guessing the good reviews were either friends of the owner or he wrote them himself because NONE of those are what we experienced. And I don't know where they got the pictures they have posted on their site, unless maybe they were taken years ago when things were brand new, because those too are not the place I saw. Everything looked old and in dis-repair and when my friend asked for the owner we were told he was in New York and couldn't be reached! Don't waste your money, go to the OKC Zoo, it's much cleaner! And read & believe the bad reviews, they are the true ones!
DO NOT book a birthday party here as you will regret it! We took our child to a bday party there on 11/11/11 and it was an utter diasaster. The rented room was disgusting! Everything thing was dingy, dusty, and gross! The event payers tried to contact the owner, Bill but he never handled the situation nor offered to refund any money! The owner has been known to abuse and to starve the animals, just google it! I feel sorry for my dear friend, Stephany Mitchell, who had to deal with this disgrace during her child's birthday party. I will definitely let everyone I know to stay FAR, FAR away from here! Their rented room for $300 was absolutely gross. I will be filing a compliant with the BBB!
